About the Event:
You are cordially invited to attend the new Wabash & Tippecanoe River Cruise taking place on July 15th & 16th.  Based from Wolfe’s Leisure Time Campground in Lafayette, IN this is a 2-day event that will feature cruising on the Wabash and Tippecanoe Rivers.  Wildcat Creek is also a cruising option if time allows.  Wolfe’s Leisure Time Campground is a full-service campground and was a stop on the 500 mile long Wabash 500 event in the summer of 2015.

Saturday, July 15th – Cruise will depart at 11:00am from Wolfe’s Leisure Time Campground.   We will travel down the Wabash River about a mile to the confluence of the Tippecanoe River.  We will travel approximately 25 miles up the Tippecanoe River to the dam that creates Lake Freeman.  Here we will stop and walk up the hill to the Oakdale Dam Inn for lunch.  We will then return to the campground and open cruising is available until the campground quiet hours.

Saturday night is “50’s Night” at the campground.  This is an annual event at the campground and will feature a cookout, malt shop, and a live band.

Sunday, July 16th        Breakfast – we will depart at 9am to hover down the Wabash River approximately 12 miles and stop on a sandbar near the John T. Myers pedestrian bridge.  From there we will walk about a half mile up the hill in West Lafayette to the famous Triple XXX diner for breakfast.  The Triple XXX has been a go-to spot for Purdue University students and alumni since 1929 and has been featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives television program.  After breakfast it is open cruising.
