Hoverally 2017 Dining Guide

Have you ever been to a town and want to try something other than chains?  The following locations are where the locals go - there are many great options to dine in Muscatine!

Downtown within 2 blocks of the Hoverally site:

Mississippi Brew (1/2 block up Iowa Ave) – Good burgers and Beverages. Outdoor beer garden and can see park from garden!

Avenue Subs – Right next to Mississippi Brew, best subs in town and everything is made fresh and sliced on the spot.

Port City Underground - In the basement of the Pearl Plaza which is a neat setting for pizza.

Contrary Micro Brewery - .  Right across the street from the park and slightly downstream.  Opens at 4:00pm on Friday and Saturdays.

Boonies (1.5 blocks up Iowa Ave) – Best Onion Rings Ever with Bojie Mustard and Pretzel Sticks! All food is great but go early as usually packed.

Tantra – Tai Restaurant – Right across street in Hotel.  Best Tai we have ever had!  Try the Mango Coconut Fried Rice with Chicken or the Shitake Mushroom dish!

Guadalajara (1/2 block up Sycamore and right ½ block)- Mexican food, Nachos Rancheros and the Sancho are great.  Margaritas are also good.

Salvatories (1 block up Walnut Streetand left 1/2 block) – Great True Italian Pizza!  Anything but we love Romano Ranch pizza!

Elly’s Tea Room – (One block north of Pearl City Station in mall) Great unique sandwiches and coffees.  Outdoor dining overlooks Mississippi.

On Park Ave by hotels:

Muscatine’s Family Style Restaurant that has great breakfast and burgers.  New owners, and we know them from their other restaurant.

Peking – Chinese, everybody says it is the best Chinese they have had!  Try the Tomato Beef at night if you like a twist on BBQ and Chinese Beef!  Everything is great!

Los Lomas – Mexican and everything is great!  Tortilla Soup is full of Mexican Cheese so stir well and enjoy!  Fajitas Texanas and everything is great!!menu/c1pz1

Just up river is the Light House on Hwy 22 with views of the river and a screened in huge deck.  Try the Tim Tation!  Pulled pork is also great!  Only 4 miles up river.
